Cooperative Banks of Oromia invites qualified applicants for the following job positions.

The history of cooperative banks has been traced back to the financial exclusion faced by many communities in the 19th century. With the industrial revolution, the emerging financial services sector was primarily focused on wealthy individuals and large enterprises in urban areas. The rural population, particularly farmers, small businesses, and the communities they supported, were excluded from financial services. Thus, cooperative banks were originally set up to correct this market failure and to overcome the associated problems of asymmetric information in favor of borrowers.

Position 1: Marketing Officer

Educational Background: BA Degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, and other Business-related fields.

Experience: Three and above years of experience in Marketing at Banking and Related organizations.

Duty Station: Head Office

Position 2: Strategy Management Officer

Educational Background: MA/MSC in Economics, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Applied Economics Modeling and Forecasting, Project management, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship, and other related fields of study. Training on the strategy management, transformation and change management, research and innovation, entrepreneurship and strategy management tools is advantageous.

Experience: Three and above years of experience in strategy management, change management and transformation, research and innovation, business consulting, policy making, academics, and related areas.

Duty Station: Head Office

Position 3: Branch Manager II

Educational Background: BA, Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, and other Business-related fields

Experience: Minimum of Seven years relevant Banking experience from which two years Supervisory level.

Duty Station: Fitche Branch (Fitche Town)

The applicants must have desirable skill, knowledge and attributes.

The applicant must have proven proficiency in English, Afan Oromo and Amharic Languages.
